Dungeon Lootr Forge Guide: Upgrade, Reforge & Endgame Gear
Five services
The Forge is next to the Training Area. Its menu has five tabs:
- Upgrade — spends materials (Iron Scrap, Gold Ore, later Infernal Ore) and Coins to raise item level and Gear Score. Upgrades can add or strengthen affixes.
- Reforge — consumes Reforge Stones to reroll every affix on the piece, good ones included.
- Protect — a Protection Scroll prevents the level-down on a failed upgrade; the scroll is consumed even when the upgrade succeeds.
- Enhance — raises the success rate of the next upgrade.
- Crafting — equipment, ingots, cosmetics and the three class items (Cursed King, Honored One, Anti Magic at 50 fragments each).
The upgrade curve
Levels 1-15 are numbered. After 15 the tiers are named — PRI, DUO, TRI, TET, PEN — and PEN is the cap. Failure at higher levels drops the item a level (a 12 to 11 downgrade is the normal first surprise), so at high levels use Enhance and, when you are below about 50% success, a Protection Scroll. Scrolls come from Challenge Dungeon.
What Gear Score measures
It is the sum of your upgraded equipped set plus the class you bring; it is not hidden matchmaking. Raise it by upgrading pieces you actually wear. The Tidemaker Katana from Starter Compensation and the Wolf Ring / Copper Ring from Bandit’s Den are the honest first targets. Stop upgrading a Rare plate the moment a Hard-difficulty drop beats it.
Affixes beat Gear Score
Damage comes from the lines engraved on the piece, not the number on top. Keep: physical / ranged / magic damage matching your archetype, critical damage, skill damage, attack speed, life steal and armor shred (the boss killer). Reforge away defense and damage-reduction lines — but remember Reforge rerolls everything, so do not touch a piece that already rolled two good lines. Rings carry the most offensive lines, so build the ring before the armor.
Materials and where they come from
| Material | Source | Use |
|---|---|---|
| Iron Ore / Iron Scrap | Dungeon chests, salvage | Early upgrades and ring recipes |
| Gold Ore | Dungeon chests | Mid upgrades |
| Infernal Ore | Gold-key gated chests | High-tier upgrades — never sell it |
| Ingots (Epic to Celestial) | Crafted or dropped | Tiered craft and upgrade fuel |
| Forge Stones | Codes (FORGESKIP, LOOTRISBACK), quests, drops | Core upgrade spends |
| Reforge Stones | Codes (20KPLAYERS), drops | Affix rerolls |
| Purity Stone, Mythical Ignite, Radiant Ore | Hard drops | Endgame recipes |
| Class fragments (Sukuna / Gojo / Asta) | Boss Rush Floor 100 | Class-item crafts |
| Coins | Everywhere; codes | Almost every Forge action |
Silver, Gold and Platinum keys open optional side rooms inside dungeons; save the rare tiers for a difficulty where the extra chest is an actual upgrade.
The endgame set
The last recipes in the Crafting tab are the King’s Crown, the Living Armor and the Supernova Ring. They need Exotic essences from Challenge Dungeon, a Relic Shattered Armor from Underworld Gate and the rare ores above. A creator’s level-20 Living Armor test showed the point of the whole page: without the affix lines the damage panel did not move, with them it did.
Spending order after a code drop
- Identify the three worst-rolled pieces on your current build.
- Upgrade the one that already rolled the right stat.
- Reforge the one that rolled Vitality when you needed Dexterity.
- Leave the third until the next drop replaces it.
The Merchant sells armor for Coins (a 4K plate is the example listing). Buy to fill a hole, not to feel busy — those Coins are also the 500K for Unrestricted and the 1M for Awakened Devil EX.
